Dog Boarding Facilities in West Virginia

I don't know what happened to my puppy while she was there for two nights in January of 2014, but she wasn't the same after we got her. It could have been nothing they did but I have a feeling something did and I will never know. I feel guilty because I thought I was making a good decision but she now has mental issues. It could've been that she couldn't handle being away from us but she was with her brother, who is fine. I thought she would be the strong one because she would never even whine. Now she constantly chases her tail, licks the walls, us, and other unusual frantic behavior. We had her tail biopsied to make sure it wasn't skin related. We tried four different psych meds and nothing has worked! I don't know if she suffered a traumatic brain injury, another type of abuse, or was possibly treated great and just had a break down from two nights away from us. I just wish we never would've boarded her because I'll never know. I just wish we could help her now, but there is no answer. The staff seemed very nice. Regardless, we had a doggie door put in and now have people we know come feed them if we are out of town. view short comment

I will never again take my dog to this place. First of all, I was only told I could only pick up my dog between the hours of 4-6 because nobody would be there at any other time. What? Second of all, my dog is usually a very hyper and happy dog, but when we picked him up he walked out of the place with his tail tucked down and wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. Second of all, my dog is usually a very hyper and happy dog, but when we picked him up he walked out of the place with his tail tucked down and wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. When we got him outside he immediately ran into the grass to pee. He peed for about 1 1/2 solid and his pee was orange. He obviously hadn't been watered very well and hadn't been taken out for a potty break in awhile. I also didn't really appreciate the staff standing outside the place smoking. Very unprofessional. Definitely not taking my dog there again. view short comment

We have used Abigail's Hotel for many years. We love the caring staff and the "Doggie Suites". Our Shih Tzu doesn't like to be near any other dogs, so their system works Great for him. I have recommended this place to many of my friends and neighbors.
