Windy Ridge is the best place in Athens area to take your dog. They give each dog special attention. We have a very hyper high energy high maintenance dog and they have taken care of her consistently for four years. The groomers are gentle and patient, as well. This place gets so busy at the holidays you need to book at least a month in advance. It is the ONLY place in Athens we would ever leave our dog. I think the negative review on this site is from a nut. We have seven separate friends with all sort of dogs and we all are extremely happy with this kennel and have all had positive long term relationships with this establishment. view short comment

Windy Ridge is ok. They won't kill your pet, but I'm not sure they do anything but feed the animals. They are always closed. You can only pick them up at very specific time slots, which makes me think they just don't want to be there the rest of the time at all to actually take care of the animals. Windy Ridge is ok. They won't kill your pet, but I'm not sure they do anything but feed the animals. They are always closed. You can only pick them up at very specific time slots, which makes me think they just don't want to be there the rest of the time at all to actually take care of the animals. Their staff is pretty nice, but given their lack of availability, they never answer their phone, their website can hardly be found and has no information on it, and my pet always stinks when i pick him up. I would say use someone different in town. There are much better options. view short comment
