Dog Boarding Facilities in Maine

I have shopped around a few kennel/boarding places and none of them come even close to Doggone Fun. We have an extremely active labrador, as well as a diabetic rat terrier, Bruce and Lisa had no problems dispensing meds, or tiring out the big yellow dog. He ensures that they get a full day of play and safe socialization (there is none of this hours and hours of cage/crate time like other places)... view full comment

I have shopped around a few kennel/boarding places and none of them come even close to Doggone Fun. We have an extremely active labrador, as well as a diabetic rat terrier, Bruce and Lisa had no problems dispensing meds, or tiring out the big yellow dog. He ensures that they get a full day of play and safe socialization (there is none of this hours and hours of cage/crate time like other places), and posts pictures and video on-line so you can watch how much fun they're having while you're away. I have absolutley no guilt or concern whatsoever leaving them with him. view short comment

Doggone Fun is such a great place that sometimes I just want to hang around for the day! I have two shelter adopted dogs who are in their senior years and have never been so happy with a facility as Doggone Fun!!! As a matter of fact, I have never felt secure with leaving them anywhere. Doggone Fun is such a great place that sometimes I just want to hang around for the day! I have two shelter adopted dogs who are in their senior years and have never been so happy with a facility as Doggone Fun!!! As a matter of fact, I have never felt secure with leaving them anywhere. I recently moved back to my home State of Maine from the Washington, DC area and never found a facility like this in the metropolitan area where I lived. Bruce and Lisa are two amazing people. They have not only taken such great care of my dogs, who do have some special needs, but they have also worked with them to help resolve some of their issues. I recently left them for a week with Bruce and Lisa and came back to two changed dogs. I have never experienced my dogs being so excited to go to "school". I now bring them several time a week on a regular basis and hope to increase that soon. Thank you Doggone Fun, Bruce, Lisa, and all the "doggie friends" there, for giving my two "treasures" such happiness. view short comment

So far I have spent only a couple of hours visiting with Bruce at Doggone Fun but I am impressed. He obviously loves dogs and seems to know a lot about them. His facility is medium sized. He is picky about who he accepts and is very aware of their behaviors. The level of supervision is great. Our new Puppy Shyloh loves it there. The location (not far out of town is convenient too.
