Dog Boarding Facilities in Virginia

I have taken my previous dog and now my current dog here now for almost 10 years. My dog is always happy to go to the kennel and healthy when she leaves. They are very easy and pleasant to work with.

we love Janet and she was incredible good with our newfee Rowley that had bone cancer and was on a lot of meds. will take any of our dogs there anytime

Surgery for this injury has a 50/50 success rate and our young dog would likely heal better on her own. What I really like is what I call the "extra mile." A bath if our dog has found dust her favorite pasttime during a summer dry spell. Replacing our towels if they are bleached inadvertently. (I give towels to Janet that I cannot use in our crates.) Knowing that our dogs will receive the food and the treats and the carrots I give them. Janet gave me the name of a grain free, moderately priced dog food, and tipped me off to "carrots in the morning, treats at night" that has been the key to a more regular Bichon. Janet loves mutts and purebreds. She chooses her staff with care. What dog would not love to go to camp at Janet's? They live along a stream with wonderful, amazing woodsy smells, and if you ask, they will play with similar sized breeds. Or enjoy the generously sized play yard for 15 minutes a day, four times a day, with a dog lover. Our dogs are together 24/7, but the three days they spent at Janet's with a neighbor dog, with whom they could play at break time -- meant that we saw the equivalent of fist bumps -- hip bumps. This is a great place for dogs. Do not be put off by the entrance. It's not for the elderly, but Janet will come to the parking lot. SUCH A GREAT PLACE. We can't keep our dogs from pulling us down the stairs and just let them run to Janet. They are welcomed by barking dogs who know them. They are happy to arrive, sad to see us go, and happy to see us return == what you want when you send your "kids" to a great "camp." I should also mention that my Bichon barks more than any other dog that Janet has ever known - it just makes her laugh. That's the kind of dog person she is == always wanting to know what makes your dog special. They are all special to Janet, but she has never seen a dog she doesn't love. view short comment

I travel for work a lot, and I don't want to leave my dog anywhere else especially if I am gone for more than a day or two. Janet loves the dogs and knows them personally. She is thoughtful about their care and remembers health issues.

I have used this kennel several times for my cats and a rescue dog. The owner loves animals and cares for them as if they were her own. Her knowledge exceeds mine in some areas and she has been very helpful.

I have been leaving my dogs with Janet for almost thirteen years. I cannot imagine using any other kennel. My dogs are always so happy going down the stairs. Janet is a very special person.

That being said, you can take a tour of the facilities and they are immaculate and the pups are all happy campers. Bean has been to very posh puppy hotels, and in all honesty they're more for us then the dogs. He's just as happy here as he is at home (seriously). PROS: - The location is great - The prices are super affordable - The facility is clean and puppy friendly (it doesn't appear they use strong chemicals that are harsh for sensitive dogs like my Bean) - The owner lives onsite - so you know someone is watching over your dog at all times - The owner is clearly a dog lover and will probably give your pup some much loved Pumpkin Crunchers in your absence - Bean is always happy to visit and runs for the kennel door when he arrives :-) CONS: - You pay per-day as opposed to per-night. That being said, it's still really affordable - The facility/waiting room is outdated (but very clean, and the dogs don't mind) - The pick-up/drop-off times vary depending on the day of the week. So make sure you have coordinated accordingly - There isn't a website (which frankly should be a PRO as I want to keep this little gem a secret). In all seriousness - don't let the exterior fool you. Your dog will receive top-notch care and come home healthy and happy. Additionally, they really do seem to CARE about your pet here. view short comment

This has been a great fcility to board our dog. Our JRT is 15 years old and we were reluctant to board him anywhere. Great Falls offers a great opportunity to safely board our dog and not have to worry about his care. I would reccomend that kennels.

It would be quite helpful if they published a website as they don't answer the phone.
