Dog Boarding Facilities in Texas

Wow XOXOXO. Doesn't sound like the same place I visited. I showed up to drop my dogs off and asked to see the kennels and Ms Kuhn, the owner, took me to the back. I also went during a hot month (July) and the area the dogs were kenneled in was nice and cool. I didn't see any bugs and the kennels were clean. Being a Vet Tech I am quite sensitive to unsanitary conditions and I didn't see a probelm with that at all. The runs were normal size. I have had nothing but positive experiences at RCK and would and have recommened it to others. view short comment

I went by this facility this afternoon to leave a friend's dog, that I had been dogsitting for near a week. I scheduled an appointment to drop the dog off and was there on time. The owner was very short with me as I asked questions and when asked if I could see the facities where the dog would be kept, she said that was only accessible to the owners. After making sure that she understood I was the one that would be making the final decision, she lead me out back to the facilities, mumbling under her breath the whole way! The boarding area was in pitiful condition. The kennels were small, there were bugs all over the place, and on a 103 degree day, I didn't feel any air circulating. She continuously told me "you can't go down there." The facilities were below average, but the owner is the one that was the biggest turn-off. She was very rude, acting as if she had something to hide, and did I say, VERY RUDE! I ended up leaving and finding another facility. I would never recommend this place to anyone. view short comment
