Woodlawn Kennel is a wonderful place for our furry kids! I bring my little guy to daycare and if he needs to board anywhere - he stays with Woodlawn. Woodlawn has indoor/outdoor runs, A/C in the summer, comfortable heating in the winter, a back-up generator, and the owners live 25 feet away from the front door of the kennel. They sell high quality foods and treats. Their groomer is really wonderful and does a great job with my little guy - and believe me, he is no treat to groom!! Travis is the guy who normally greets you when you get there - he's been there since he was just old enough to work and now, he's in his mid-twenties! Staff turnover is rare - and that is good news as far as I'm concerned. If I need to pick up my dog during closed afternoon hours, I can arrange it that morning - or go over unannounced and knock on the door. I've also gone over during the day to watch the dogs at play in one of their two huge play yards. Someone is always there and that makes me comfortable when I leave my little guy. I am looking forward to the training classes - they are affordable and fun for both humans and dogs! view short comment

My dogs love going to Daycare at Woodlawn. I would not bring them anywhere else

While at the office I asked if I could see the kennels and play areas where the dogs would be kept and was told there was "construction" going on but could see when I dropped off the dogs. Used this place one time because it was "conveniently" located. What a mistake. I set the appointment up in person for my two dogs. While at the office I asked if I could see the kennels and play areas where the dogs would be kept and was told there was "construction" going on but could see when I dropped off the dogs. When I dropped off the dogs and asked again to see the kennels I was told no one allowed in kennel area because of insurance reasons. BS! Left dogs there for 4 days, called in and was told both dogs doing great, one dog had had a bath....didn't say why. When I picked up the dogs I asked for their toys and blankets, they gave me the toys but "could not find the blankets" ????? I explained what color and material they were so the attendant told me that they were in the wash. I said that was ok if they were dirty, I could wash them at home. He brought out two DIARRHEA covered blankets and said, that one of the dogs had an "accident". I couldn't believe it, my dogs NEVER get diarrhea. To make matters worse, both dogs developed KENNEL COUGH within a couple days after staying at Woodlawn. I recommend you find somewhere else to take your pets....... view short comment
