Dog Boarding Facilities in Indiana

I strongly DO NOT recommend this place! I wish I had seen a review warning me about this place, I would have taken them elsewhere. Our dogs are our family. I expected better care than was received by the owner Judy and her husband Jim. I was upfront and told this business that my dog had cancer(just diagnosed). They promised they would take good care of her. She was a middle-aged dog, not on her death bed and in good health otherwise (I have date stamped pictures of her before and after her stay that show her "condition"). We called while on vacation and spoke to Jim, he stated she was fine. When questioned further expecting him to elaborate I received an everything is fine once again. When picked up by my husband and brought home she had an open wound on her chest area (you could see her muscles inside); and she appeared emaciated, I could see her ribs and hip bones. Because of the condition she was in after her stay here, we decided (with the help of our vet) to humanely euthanize her. I wish that I hadn't trusted this business to take care of her, it would have saved a lot of heartache and headache. What makes matters worse is the steps this business took to try to make themselves look good after the fact; and their deniability that it didn't happen. Judy (the owner) also had no problem dragging my husband's name through the mud for a review on Yahoo that he didn't make and offered no apologies! When the Yahoo review was made, this business wasn't even on our radar. view short comment
