Dog Boarding Facilities in Arizona

I have been bringing my dog here on a consistent basis since April 2012. What stands out the most for me is Paula's dedication to the health,safety,and welfare of each and every dog. We have been taking our family Lab to Santa Fe Dog Retreat for about two years. He enjoys going to play with the other days. I am so happy we found a place for my dogs best interest and safety. Paula and her staff have been wonderful, I never have to worry about my dogs safety, he gets lots of attention and loves playing in the water! I would highly recommend them!!

We had an unfortunate situation with this place. My beloved pet, had a reservation with them and had been twice to play. I was calling to book the 3rd playdate ( I was told by one employee that he would need 3 playdates prior to boarding) and was told his reservation was no more, that it wasn't in "concrete," (that is exactly what a reservation IS!) and that I needed to find another place for our ... view full comment

We had an unfortunate situation with this place. My beloved pet, had a reservation with them and had been twice to play. I was calling to book the 3rd playdate ( I was told by one employee that he would need 3 playdates prior to boarding) and was told his reservation was no more, that it wasn't in "concrete," (that is exactly what a reservation IS!) and that I needed to find another place for our wonderful pet. Keep in mind, we were leaving for our trip (planned for 5 years), in 11 days. We would have taken him 2 more times to play to get more acquainted with staff, and other dogs. The owner, Paula, told me she wouldn't take our dog and yelled at me that I should have brought him more. She said she would call me back, but never did. I spoke directly with 3 staff members who all said something different and listed different policies, nothing was coherent or aligned with another employee. It was all very confusing and sad. We had high hopes for this experience and felt let down. Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. view short comment

When asked why...he said they would like to train him. He hadn't been there much.He couldn't elaborate and we then talked with Paula.She proceeded to tell us we hadn't been there enough and they wanted to "train" him...one extra day at our expense.We continued to question her and she hung up....wouldn't call back. Prior to that she never told us there any issues with his behavior (1.6 yr. old lab) and in fact raved about how much fun he had with the other dogs. Did we or didn't we have a reservation? We weren't willing to take him there with this concept of her wanting to "train" our dog for one day. We found another location fortunately and find the whole thing strange. But we wouldn't go back without a better explanation. I also find it uncomfortable that you never get inside the house after your first preplanned tour. They meet you outside. Paula and her crew make boarding my little beagle, Bella a pleasure for her and for me. I do not worry when travelling because I know she is very well taken care of. The dogs are well behaved with loving discipline and lots of pleasurable things to do!

Paula and her staff are the best! My dog Maggie love to go out there for her day care. She has been going out there for about 3 years, one day a week and she would be so sad not to go.

This place is great for dogs. Lots of other dogs to play with outstanding supervision. Our golden retriever absolutely loved it and we will use them again.
