Dog Boarding Facilities in Florida

I took my dog there as a last result. I failed to make a reservation at my usual place in time and this was the alternative. They cost twice as much per day, they charge extra if you want your dog to have time in their yard and they told me it was ok for me to bring toys for him to play with. when I showed up I should have left. The first thing they did was take his collar off and put a choke lead on him saying it was for their safety. I handed them the bag of toys and they put it in a storage container along with his collar. I bought 1 tennis ball (for $3) from them and against better judgement I left. Two days into my trip I called to make sure everything was alright and all I got in responce was I didn't PAY for that service so they were unwilling to tell me anything. When I showed up to get him back they needed some time to give him a bath which of course they charged me extra for. They brought him up in the choke lead and of course he was trying to get away and jump on me and all that was happening was he was getting choked, I had to put HIS collar back on. Then they handed me the bag of toys along with the tennis ball I bought for him, none of them were played with, if he had they would have been destroyed. I asked them about that and their response was the same, you didnt pay for that. I got in my car and he would not stop coughing from being choked so I immediately went to my vet, thankfully they said it was only slight busing and it would be better in a day or two. I will NEVER use that kennel again and strongly urge you no not use them either unless you want to pay extra to not have your pet tortured. view short comment
